KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />2023 AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: July 5, 2023 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing the Sale of <br />Tax Parcel 11251 to Stockyard Development Group, LLC <br />in the amount of $20,100.00 and Authorize the Director of <br />Public Works to Execute said Documents. <br />BACKGROUND: Tax Parcel 11251 is property owned by Kittitas County <br />Department of Public Works (PW). The property is <br />unbuildable and is impacted by Whiskey Creek that <br />traverses a large portion of the property. A Public Hearing <br />was held on May 16, 2023, at 2:00 pm declaring said parcel <br />surplus to the county's needs and authorizing a sealed bid <br />process with the minimum bid amount to be $5,000.00. <br />Bids were due on June 8, 2023, at 3:00 pm at the Public <br />Works Office, at which time two bids were received. <br />Public Works is recommending the bid of Stockyard <br />Development Group, LLC in the amount of $20,100.00 be <br />accepted. <br />The required fifty -foot easement along the centerline of <br />Whiskey Creek for potential creek channel improvements <br />has been recorded with the Kittitas County Auditor and <br />drafting the necessary real estate documents is the final step <br />in closing out this transaction. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution Authorizing the Sale of Tax Parcel <br />11251 to Stockyard Development Group, LLC in the <br />amount of $20, 100.00 and Authorize the Director of Public <br />Works to Execute said Documents. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution. <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
