A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AMENDMENT B WITH WASHINGTON STATE
DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT -
CoRoNAVIRUS (CDBG-CVI & CV2) PROGRAM CONTRACT #20-522LC-LL5

WHEREAS, Chapters 39.33 and 39.34 RCW, the lnterlocal Cooperation Act, authorizes
public agencies to enter into agreements for mutually advantageous joint or cooperative action;
and
WHEREAS, Kittitas County and Washington State Department of Commerce are public
agencies within the meaning of chapters 39.33 and 39.34 RCW; and
WHEREAS, Kittitas County and Washington State Department of Commerce entered
into the agreement to fund the Costs incurred for the Activities to prevent, prepare for, and
respond to coronavirus in partnership with local service providers for the CDBG-CV1 consortium
area. in Kittitas County for the period of March 27 , 2o2o thru Janua ry 3!,2023, and
WHEREAS, Washington State Department of Commerce Amendment A adding CDBG-CV2
additional funding of 5154,766 and amending end date to June 30,2O2g was signed by Kittitas
County on July 19,202I, and
WHEREAS, Washington State Department of Commerce has provided Amendment B for
contract #2O-622IC-1L5 to add a three (3) month extension (amended end date O9/30/ZOZ3) to
provide more time to spend down funds,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE lT RESOLVED, the Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners
is authorized to execute Amendment B of Contract #20-6221,C-115 with Washington State
Department of Commerce, attached hereto, and incorporated herein by this reference.
