Chapters 39.33 and 39.34 RCW, the lnterlocal Cooperation Act, authorizes public
agencies to enter into agreements for mutually advantageous joint or cooperative
action; and
Kittitas County and Washington State Department of Commerce are public
agencies within the meaning of chapters 39.33 and 39.34 RCW; and
Kittitas County and Washington State Department of Commerce entered into an
agreement via Resolution 2022-200 for CDBG Public Services Grant 22-622L0-OO8
to fund the costs incurred for the public services through HopeSource to low- and
moderate-income persons in Kittitas County for the period of July 7, 2022 thru
June 30, 2023, and
Washington State Department of Commerce has provided Amendment Number A
to amend Contract Number 22-62270-008 by adding additional funding of
581,000.00 with an amended start date of July L,2023 and amended end date of
June 30, 2024. The original grant amount was $83,000.00 and with the additional
funding, the new grant amount is 5164,000.00. The purpose of the amendment
is Public Services through Hopesource to low- and moderate-income persons in
Kittitas County for program year 2023.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE lT RESOLVED, the Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners
authorizes the execution of Contract Number 22-62210-008 Amendment Number A of the
lnteragency Agreement with Washington State Department of Commerce, attached hereto, and
incorporated herein by this reference.
