Request Boards signature on a resolution to award bid for
removal and disposal of County owned mobile homes.

Kittitas County purchased the Shady brook mobile home park
and has been purchasing trailers as people have moved from
the park.
On May 16,2023, we went out to bid for the removal of the
remaining of the county owned mobile home and miscellaneous
structures. On May 24,2023 a mandatory prebid walk through
was held and seven contractors participated in the walk
through. One June sth bids were received, and the county
received one bid. The County has done its due diligence to
confirm that the low bidder is a licensed and bonded contractor
within the State of Washington.

Recommend the Board of County Commissioners sign a
resolution to award the bid to Belsaas and Smith Construction
lnc.

RESOLUTION TO AWARD BID
WHEREAS: Kittitas County went out to bid for a contractor to remove county owned
mobile homes and other buildings at 1200 E. University Ave, Ellensburg, WA; and
WHEREAS: Kittitas County held a mandatory pre-bid walk through on May 23,2023
which was attended by seven potential bidders; and
WHEREAS: Kittitas County received bids on June 5, 2023 at 2:00pm in the
commissioner's office and only one bid was received; and
WHEREAS: Belsaas and Smith was the only responsive bidder for the project; and
WHEREAS: Kittitas County has confirmed that the low bidder is a contractor licensed
with the Department of Labor and Industries.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: the Board of County Commissioners, in
the best interest of the public, hereby awards the bid for the Removal of County owned
Mobile homes and other structures at 1200 E. University Way, Ellensburg, WA to
Belsaas and Smith Construction Inc. and authorizes execution of the related professional
services agreement.
