PROCLAMATION <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />“Kittitas High School Boys Track & Field 4x100-Meter Relay Team <br />WIAA 2B State Championship Day” <br />June 23, 2023 <br /> <br />WHEREAS: On Saturday May 27, 2023, at the 2023 WIAA 2B Track & Field Championships which <br />were held at Zaepfel Stadium in Yakima, Washington, the Kittitas High School Boys <br />Track & Field 4x100-Meter Relay Team won the State Championship title in their event; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The Kittitas High School 4x100-Meter Relay Team includes Doug Varnum, Josh <br />Rosbach, Brendon Trudell, and Jonathan Marin; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: their Relay Team had a very successful Track & Field season that included a 1st place win <br />at the EWAC League Meet #3, West Sub-Districts, and Districts prior to clinching their <br />WIAA 2B State Title with a time of 44.18; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: This marks the second year that the boys 4x100-Meter Relay Team has taken home a <br />State Championship Title; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Doug Varnum, Josh Rosbach, Brendon Trudell, and Jonathan Marin, should all be <br />recognized for their hard work, leadership, dedication, and commitment to the sport of <br />Track and Field while representing their teammates, family, Kittitas High School, and the <br />citizens of Kittitas County; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: The Board of County Commissioners asks the citizens of <br />Kittitas County to join them in celebrating and honoring the Kittitas High School Boys Track & Field <br />4x100-Meter Team for winning the WIAA 2B State Championship Title and proclaim Friday June 23, <br />2023, as “Kittitas High School Boys Track & Field 4x100-Meter Relay Team State Championship Day” <br />in Kittitas County. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 20th day of June 2023. <br />THE KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br /> <br /> Cory Wright, Chairman <br /> <br /> <br /> Brett Wachsmith, Vice-Chairman <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: Laura Osiadacz, Commissioner <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board
