ACTION REQUESTED: Approve a Resolution to Resolution Authorizing the Kittitas Valley
Event Center Director to Negotiate, Enter Into, and Approve Contracts
with a Value of Less Than $50,000
BACKGROUND: The Kittitas Valley Event Center Director and BOCC discussed
amending the authorization level of the KVEC Director to negotiate,
enter into, and approve contracts. It was set at $10,000 in 1997 with
Resolutions 97-23 and 97-43 outlining the original policy for the
spending limit. Approving this Resolution to increase the limit to less
than $50,000 will rescind both 1997 Resolution and lay out the new
policy for the KVEC Director’s contractual authority.

RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the Commissioners approve the Resolution
authorizing the Kittitas Valley Event Center Director to negotiate, enter
into, and approve contracts with a value of less than $50,000.
