Kittitas County <br />Public Health Department <br /> <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />June 20, 2023 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />The Board of County Commissioners approves the signature of the Kittitas County Public Health <br />Department on the Greater Columbia Behavioral Health. (Effective dates: 05.2023-Ongoing) <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />This MOU establishes the regional opioid abatement council (OAC) for the Greater Columbia <br />region and Kittitas County as a participating member. Greater Columbia Behavioral Health LLC <br />will serve as the administering agency for the OAC, which oversees the use of the opioid <br />settlement funds, as outlined in the One Washington MOU previously signed by the BOCC. <br />Greater Columbia Behavioral Health LLC will charge each participating government in the <br />region actual costs OAC activities annually, up to but no more than 10% of opioid settlement <br />funds. <br />INTERACTION: <br />Kittitas County Prosecutors: Reviewed and approved on May 23, 2023 <br />Kittitas County Auditors: Reviewed and approved on June 7, 2023 <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />The Board of County Commissioners approves the signature of the Kittitas County Public Health <br />Department on the Greater Columbia Behavioral Health.
