COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON

REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY 9:00 A.M. JUNE 12, 2023
Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright; Commissioner, Laura
Osiadacz. Excused: Vice-Chairman Brett Wachsmith.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Office Administrator; Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk
of the Board; Debbie Stanavich, Administrative Assistant; Kate
Jimenez, Administrative Assistant.
REGULAR MEETING OFFICE STAFF MEETING COMMISSIONERS
At 9:00 a.m. Chairman Wright opened the Office Administration
meeting.
CALENDAR WEEK AT A GLANCE COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed their weekly calendar.
PAF/VOUCHERS REVIEW OF PAF’S & VOUCHERS COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners approved and signed County
Employee Personnel Action forms and vouchers.
CORRESPONDENCE LOG REVIEW OF CORRESPONDENCE LOG COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed the weekly Correspondence
Log, a listing of all incoming mail and correspondence for the week
ending June 9, 2023.
REAPPOINT EBERHART, KERN, HANNON COMMISSIONERS
Chairman Wright moved to reappoint Urban Eberhart, Ben Kern &
Douglas Hannon to the Kittitas County Horticulture Pest & Disease
Board for a 2-year term effective immediately and to end on 6-30-
2025. Commissioner Osiadacz seconded. Motion carried 2-0.
RESOLUTION 2023-096 WAIVE PAYMENT FOR KPRD#1 COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner Osiadacz moved to approve Resolution No. 2023-096, To
Waive Payment for the KPRD#1 Cost Allocation of the 2023 Election
Voter’s Pamphlet. Chairman Wright seconded. Motion carried 2-0.
DISCUSSION COUNTY FACEBOOK COMMISSIONERS
The Board determined that for the week of June 12, 2023, they would

post on their Facebook page about the Courthouse Closure observing
Juneteenth; Congratulations to the 2023 Graduates from around the
County.
UPDATE BOCC/ DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS
Each Commissioner was assigned three different Department Heads to
meet with on a weekly basis for the year. The assignments for 2023
were determined at the Board of County Commissioners Office Admin
meeting earlier on and they will continue to provide updates at
future meetings.
Each Commissioner reviewed discussions held with their respective
departments and exchanged details of those meetings.
UPDATES BOCC/WHITE BOARDS COMMISSIONERS
The Board reviewed their updates/edits to each of their white
boards.
OTHER BUSINESS/GENERAL UPDATES
There were general updates on meetings & conversations that the
Board participated in, individually over the past week.
Mandy Buchholz, Office Administrator informed the Board that there
would not be a quorum the week of July 17, 2023. She indicated that
she would work with IT to update PAS and Agenderator so departments
didn’t request agenda items that week and that she would also send
out notice to the Departments.
