BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATB OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION <br />No.: 2023- OlO <br />A RESOLUTION TO AWARD THE BID TO BELSAAS & SMITH CONSTRUCTION <br />INCORPORATED FOR THB BOWERS FIELD AIRPORT WETLAND AND <br />STREAM MITIGATION PROJECT <br />WHEREAS: The Airport at Bowers Field has a Wetland Stream and Mitigation Project; <br />and <br />WHEREAS: The Airport Director put the project out for bid through century west <br />Engineering, and it was estimated that the cost of construction would be <br />$1,126,388.35 per a bid calculation fi'om Century West Engineering; and <br />WHEREAS: Belsaas & Srnith submitted the lowest winning bid for a total charge of <br />$834,247.70 for the construction project and Century West Engineering <br />recommended that the bid be awarded to Belsaas & Smith for this project; <br />and <br />WHEREAS: The United States Department of Transportation Federal Aviation <br />Administration has reviewed the bid documentation and approved this <br />winning bid and recommended that it be awarded to Belsaas & Smith. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Kittitas County Board of <br />Commissioners, in the best interest of the public, does hereby award the bid for the Bowers <br />Field Airport Wetland and Stream Mitigation Construction Project to Belsaas and Srnith for <br />the duration of the construction project dwing2023. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Airport at Bowers Field is <br />authorized to sign the contract documents upon such terms and conditions specified in the <br />proposal submitted by Belsaas & Smith Construction Incorporated. <br />ADOPTED this lfr day of 2023, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTIT HINGTON <br />lce-Chairman
