KITTITAS COUNTY <br />FINANCE STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOM 108 - ELLENSBURG <br />Special Meeting <br />FRIDAY 1:30 PM Aril 21, 2023 <br />Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright, Vice -Chairman Brett Wachsmith, and <br />Commissioner Laura Osiadacz <br />Staff Present: Bryan Elliott, Brian Carlson, Zack Dehaven, Andrew Yoder, Amy Cziske, Kylee <br />Wuesthoff, <br />Others: George Long; Kittcomm <br />1. At 1:31pm Chairman Cory Wright opened the Finance Study Session. <br />2. No Citizen Comments <br />3. 2022 Financial Statements Update <br />Mr. Carlson reported that Financial Statements for 2022 are on track to be completed <br />before the required deadline. <br />4. ARPA Funding Request: Kittcom <br />Mr. Long presented a proposal requesting ARPA funds to assist in updating Kittcomm's <br />infrastructure. The Board expressed unanimous support. Mr. Carlson indicated that this <br />and other amendments to the 2023 budget would be reflected on a Resolution for BOCC <br />in June or July. <br />5. 2023 Funding Request: Pest and Disease Control Board <br />Commissioners expressed the importance of protecting Apple growth in Kittitas County. <br />The Board unanimously expressed their support in funding the request. Mr. Carlson <br />indicated that this and other amendments to the 2023 budget would be reflected on a <br />Resolution for BOCC in June or July. <br />6. Consideration of Revised Scope of Work and Cost for JRP Integrated Solutions <br />Contract for Broadband Planning and Development Services <br />Commissioner Osiadacz expressed concern about the progress of the project. The board <br />requested follow-up discussion regarding project scope and contracting before approving <br />the requested contract change. This discussion will take place not later than next monthly <br />finance study session. <br />2023-04-21 MINUTES <br />
