NetApp Storage Expansion Project Update
Doug Fessler informed the Board that the data storage expansion has become of critical
importance and that IT will not wait for a potential grant to purchase the minimum amount of
equipment needed at this time. The intention is to proceed with an effort to obtain grant funding
to pay for even further expansion soon. Mr. Fessler also recognizes and appreciates the
Prosecuting Attorney Office for its continued assistance in the grant application process and
funding part of this project.
Request Board Signature on Professional Services Agreement for Network Services at New
PA Building
This agenda item has been withdrawn and will be presented at the next available opportunity.
Discussion/Decision – IT Recruitment
Mr. Fessler requested, and the Board directed that an offer be made to hire a past employee, Bill
Davis, to fill the vacant position of System/Network Administrator III.
Other Business
Commissioner Brett Wachsmith called an Executive Session, with the intention of no action
being taken at 11:31am.
RCW 42.30.110
(1) Nothing contained in this chapter may be construed to prevent a governing body from
holding an executive session during a regular or special meeting:
(g) To evaluate the qualifications of an applicant for public employment or to review the
performance of a public employee. However, subject to RCW 42.30.140(4), discussion by a
governing body of salaries, wages, and other conditions of employment to be generally applied

within the agency shall occur in a meeting open to the public, and when a governing body elects
to take final action hiring, setting the salary of an individual employee or class of employees, or
discharging or disciplining an employee, that action shall be taken in a meeting open to the
public;
