05/16/2023 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />AUDITORIUM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />TUESDAY 2:00 P.M. MAY 16, 2023 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright; Vice-Chairman Brett <br />Wachsmith; and Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board and Mark Cook, Public <br />Works Director. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING SURPLUS COUNTY PROPERTY PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />At 2:00 p.m. CHAIRMAN WRIGHT opened a Public Hearing to consider <br />declaring Tax Parcel 11251 Surplus to the County Needs and consider <br />setting a minimum sale price. <br /> <br />MARK COOK, PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR, reviewed a Staff Report and <br />explained how Tax Parcel 11251 was owned by the Kittitas County <br />Public Works Department, which is unbuildable and impacted by <br />Whiskey Creek that traverses a large portion of the property. He <br />said they are requesting the Board declare the parcel surplus to the <br />County needs and direct it to be sold by sealed bids with a minimum <br />value of $5,000.00 and to be properly noted and managed by the <br />Public Works Department. <br /> <br />THERE BEING NO ONE IN ATTENDANCE TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC PORTION OF <br />THE HEARING WAS CLOSED. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2023-080 SURPLUS COUNTY PROPERTY PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />VICE-CHAIRMAN WACHSMITH moved to approve Resolution No. 2023-080, <br />Declaring Tax Parcel 11251 Surplus to County Needs Setting the <br />Minimum Parcel Value at %5,000.00 for Future Public Disposal by <br />Public Works. COMMISSIONER OSIADACZ seconded.
