ACTION REQUESTED:
Request boards approval of resolution to declare a building on parcel 216833 as surplus to county needs.
BACKGROUND:
In 1999 the Sheriff of Kittitas County obtained a building building on property at 102 Railroad Avenue in
Ellensburg for official use related to the Search and Rescue and other operations. The property which the
building is located is on a lease with the BNSF Railway Company. The Sheriff and Search and Rescue no
longer wish to lease the property and as part of ending the lease the building needs to be removed.
Kittitas County Sheriff wishes to surplus the building so it can be put on the surplus list so it can be
purchased and the purchaser will be responsible for the removal of the building and all of its components.

RECOMMENDATION:
Recommend Boards signature on Resolution to declare the building on parcel 216833 as surplus to county
needs.
HANDLING:
Return copy to Maintenance and the Auditors office.
