Kittitas County <br />Solid Waste <br /> <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />6/6/2023 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Request boards approval of resolution to declare a building on parcel 216833 as surplus to county needs. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />In 1999 the Sheriff of Kittitas County obtained a building building on property at 102 Railroad Avenue in <br />Ellensburg for official use related to the Search and Rescue and other operations. The property which the <br />building is located is on a lease with the BNSF Railway Company. The Sheriff and Search and Rescue no <br />longer wish to lease the property and as part of ending the lease the building needs to be removed. <br /> <br />Kittitas County Sheriff wishes to surplus the building so it can be put on the surplus list so it can be <br />purchased and the purchaser will be responsible for the removal of the building and all of its components. <br /> <br /> <br />INTERACTION: <br />Sheriff's Department, and Prosecutor <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Recommend Boards signature on Resolution to declare the building on parcel 216833 as surplus to county <br />needs. <br /> <br />HANDLING: <br />Return copy to Maintenance and the Auditors office. <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Patti Stacey <br />
