AGENDA STAFF REPORT
AGENDA DATE: June 6, 2023
ACTION REQUESTED: Adopt Resolution Amending Public Records Act and
Records Management training schedule.
BACKGROUND: The Board had previously adopted resolutions at the
recommendation of the Records Management Committee
(RMC) mandating regular training on these topics as a
management tool to maximize performance and minimize
liability exposure.
INTERACTION: The RMC on its own initiative considered the impact of the
pandemic on the ability to comply with the terms of the
original adopted Resolution. A second and temporary
resolution was adopted during the pandemic to allow for
training to be done online. The current resolution request is
to continue with online training indefinitely. The current
proposed Resolution has been reviewed and approved by
the RMC membership.
RECOMMENDATION: Review the proposed Resolution and adopt it as written.

Records Management Training Schedule.
