BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING <br />RESOLUTION No. 2021- 0 9J <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners enacted Resolution 2019-118, a copy <br />of which is attached hereto and incorporated by this reference, addressing the need for and <br />implementation of training for all county employees pertaining to records management and the <br />processing of requests pursuant to the Public Records Act; and <br />WHEREAS, in that Resolution the Board of County Commissioners accepted the <br />recommendations of the Records Management Committee for the content and scheduling of that <br />training; and <br />WHEREAS, subsequent to the adoption of that Resolution the world has experienced a <br />pandemic; and <br />WHEREAS, the resulting changes in the county working environment for many <br />employees has resulted in making in -person training impractical and unsafe; and <br />WHEREAS, these changes do not eliminate the need for the training described, but do <br />require changes in the method of delivery; and <br />WHEREAS, the Records Management Committee caused the recording of live sessions <br />in 2019; and <br />WHEREAS, use of those recorded training sessions will allow for remote individual <br />training delivered by use of the County computer network consistent with the safety needs <br />referred to above and familiar to most employees; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Kittitas County, Washington authorizes modification of the processes directed <br />in Resolution 2019-118 to allow the Records Management Committee to provide the required <br />training by use of the above referenced remote individual training until modified by a further <br />Resolution of the Board. The same mandates for attendance as required in Resolution 2019-118 <br />shall apply to this computer delivered training, except that all impacted personnel as listed in the <br />final paragraph of that Resolution shall complete the training applicable to their position not later <br />than December 21. 2021. <br />2021. <br />ADOPTED this — day of a - <br />
