Box 1064 - Roslyn, WA - 98941 <br />- - . info@kprd1.org <br />www.ukcparksandrec.org <br />i 1 fMA09011 <br />WHEREAS Kittitas County Parks and Recreation District 1 (KPRD1) was <br />established by a vote of the people in 2005, and <br />WHEREAS KPRD1 receives no funding from any government entity or <br />taxing authority, and <br />WHEREAS KPRD1 will be filling Position # 1 and Position # 5 on the <br />November 2023 ballot, and, <br />WHEREAS KPRD1 is liable for its proportionate share of the costs of <br />elections for its open positions per RCW 29A.04.410 including the costs to <br />print and appear in the county's voter pamphlet, and <br />WHEREAS payment of the elections costs will most likely exceed the <br />remaining donated funds KPRD1 has received to date thus creating an <br />undue financial hardship, <br />THEREFOR be it resolved that KPRD1 officially petitions the Kittitas <br />County Board of Commissioners to waive the requirement to pay for <br />printing/publishing/distribution of the voter pamphlet per the allowances <br />prescribed in RCW 29A.32.220. <br />l <br />Kent Verbeck <br />Chairman, Kittitas County Parks and Recreation District 1 <br />Kent Verbeck Ira Astrachan Keegan Fengler Ali Astrachan Lucy Temple <br />
