<br />Summary: IAW RCW 29A.32.220 The legislative authority of a district or unit of government may <br />petition the county legislative authority to waive the cost allocation for the production of the voter's <br />pamphlet. KPRD is requesting that the BOCC waive their cost for the November 2023 Voters Pamphlet. <br />The Auditor's Office has received the Resolution from KPRD and has verified that they are petitioning <br />the BOCC more than 60 days prior to the publishing date. See attached resolution outlining their <br />justification. <br />If the BOCC waives the requirement, the Auditors Office estimates that ~$550 in cost associated with <br />publishing the Voters Pamphlet will be redistributed to the other districts and municipalities <br />participating in the election. <br />Recommendation: BOCC review and consider the request.
