Summary: IAW RCW 29A.32.220 The legislative authority of a district or unit of government may
petition the county legislative authority to waive the cost allocation for the production of the voter's
pamphlet. KPRD is requesting that the BOCC waive their cost for the November 2023 Voters Pamphlet.
The Auditor's Office has received the Resolution from KPRD and has verified that they are petitioning
the BOCC more than 60 days prior to the publishing date. See attached resolution outlining their
justification.
If the BOCC waives the requirement, the Auditors Office estimates that ~$550 in cost associated with
publishing the Voters Pamphlet will be redistributed to the other districts and municipalities
participating in the election.
Recommendation: BOCC review and consider the request. The Auditors Office shall invoice the KPRD
accordingly.
