WSU has obtained funding for county sub-recipients for zero-match grants of apprx. $60K
Grants are for “Broadband Action Planning” and “Digital Equity Planning”
Background:
County staff learned of this funding opportunity in April and submitted an application. Application process was largely a formality, and notice of award was received during the week
of May 8.
This award contract has not been routed to PA for review/approval. It has been reviewed by Commissioner Wright as broadband project manager, and by County’s third-party broadband design
contractor JRP Innovative Solutions.
Analysis:
Contract award is zero-match, and scope tracks with County’s in-progress broadband expansion program.
Conclusion / Next Steps:
Provide authorization to execute grant award contract with WSU
