AGENDA DATE: June 6, 2023
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Set a Public Hearing for Non-Docket Amendments to Kittitas County
Code Titles 9, 12, and 17
BACKGROUND: CDS staff is requesting to set a public hearing for June 6, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. for
consideration of proposed amendments to Kittitas County Code through an out of
cycle, non-docket process. The proposed amendments would implement the Interlocal
Agreement with the City of Ellensburg for development within the Ellensburg Urban
Growth (UGA) area by adopting certain city standards and authorizing the collection
of impact fees within the UGA.
A Planning Commission public hearing will be held on May 23, 2023 where a
recommendation will be made for the Board of County Commissioners to consider. A
staff report containing the staff recommendation and the Planning Commission
recommendation will be provided prior to the public hearing. The proposed
amendments are currently available for review on the Community Development
Services website at: https://www.co.kittitas.wa.us/cds/comp-plan/default.aspx
