Request to set a Public Hearing for June 6, 2023, at
2:00 pm to consider a speed reduction on Thomas
Road between Wilson Creek Road and Naneum
Road and amend Kittitas County Code Chapter
10.08 Speed Limits on County Roads.
BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Department of Public Works
received a request from residents to conduct a speed
study and consider a reduction of the posted 50
MPH speed on Thomas Road between Wilson
Creek Road and Naneum Road (milepoint 0.00 to
1.51). The speed study was conducted, and Public
Works is now requesting to set a Public Hearing to
receive public testimony and discuss the results of
said study.
INTERACTION:
Public Works
RECOMMENDATION: Set a Public Hearing for June 6, 2023, at 2:00 pm to
consider a speed reduction on Thomas Road from
milepoint 0.00 to milepoint 1.51 and amend Kittitas
County Code Chapter 10.08 Speed Limits on
County Roads.
HANDLING: Return one Notice of Public Hearing to Public
Works.
ATTACHMENTS: Notice of Public Hearing.
