RESOLUTION No.2023-W
TO AUTHORIZE A TEMPORARY DEVIATION FROM THE COMPUTER ROTATION PROCEDURE
AS DEFINED IN THE KITTITAS COUNTYTECHONOTOGY POLICY
WHEREAS,
WHEREAS,
Kittitas county has previously adopted a set of technology policies; and
Section 3.4'8 of the Kittitas County Technology Policy provides for the regular rotation
of computers every four {4) years and monitors every six (G) years; and
WHEREAS,The Kittitas County lnformation and Technology Department is facing extenuating
circumstances resulting from personnel shortages and a backlog of major, high-priority
projects; and
WHEREAS, The Kittitas County Board of Commissioners has directed the lnformation and
Technology Department to focus their resources on certain high-priority projects;
NOW THEREFORE, BE lT RESOLVED: The Kittitas County lnformation and Technology Department is
hereby authorized to postpone rotating computers and monitors that would have been scheduled for
rotation in2O23 until March of 2024.
NOW BE lT FURTHER RESOLVED: The Kittitas County lnformation and Technology Director or their
designee is hereby authorized, at their discretion, to continue replacing and/or purchasing workstation
equipment as needed during the rotation postponement so that regular county business is not disrupted,
