AGENDA DATE: May 2, 2023
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Acknowledge an Agreement between The Seattle
Police Department and The Kittitas County Sheriff's Office to reimburse certain costs
associated with Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigations.
BACKGROUND: The SPD agrees to reimburse the cost of overtime, travel/training,
equipment, and software necessary for ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children)
investigations. This purchase will enhance the KCSO's ability to investigate crimes
involving the exploitation and abuse of children online.
INTERACTION: This Agreement was reviewed and approved by the Kittitas County
Prosecutor's Office.
RECOMMENDATION: Acknowledge an Agreement between The Seattle Police
Department and The Kittitas County Sheriff's Office to reimburse certain costs
associated with Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigations.
