KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA SESSION STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA SESSION DATE: May 2, 2023 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Notice of Call for Sealed Bids for <br />the Intersection Corridor Safety Improvements Project, <br />CRP 313-21. <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County was selected to receive funding through <br />the Federal Highway Safety Program (HSIP) for the <br />Intersection Corridor Safety Project. <br />The project includes installing, replacing, and upgrading <br />over 200 signs at 18 different intersections throughout <br />the County. Some of the upgraded signs will include <br />solar powered LED lighting to help attract the attention <br />of motorists. The engineering and design for the project <br />has been performed by County staff. Construction is <br />expected to take up to 45 working days from the Notice <br />to Proceed. <br />The engineers estimated range for construction is <br />$405,000.00 to $440,000.00. <br />Bids are scheduled to be received on May 25, 2023, at <br />1 Oam at the Public Works office. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Notice of Call for Sealed Bids and <br />Advertise as requested for the Intersection Corridor <br />Safety Improvements, CRP 313-21. <br />HANDLING: Return one (1) original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Notice of Call for Sealed Bids. <br />LEAD STAFF: Josh Fredrickson, County Engineer <br />
