Motion 01-01 carried to approve the February 16, 2023 Board of Health meeting <br />minutes as presented. <br />Public Comment Open at 10:03 am <br />Public Comment Closed at 10:03 am <br />Department Updates <br />Administrative Officer/Director Update <br />Ms. Loeffers gave an update on the following: <br />■ Staffing update- all positions have been filled, Candi is celebrating 15 years with the department, Kate is <br />graduation from the DOH's infection prevention champions program and Director Loeffers is done with her <br />MPH course work. <br />■ KCPHD will be overseeing 1/10th and Opioid settlement money. <br />• CHA/CHIP work <br />■ New Customer Survey <br />• Lucy Garcia, back up PIO! <br />• In-house therapist starting April 17th <br />• Marie working on internal mental health initiatives with almost all department staff participating <br />• BOHAC update- BOHAC met March 13th, they decided that they will continue to meet as an ad hoc basis <br />and do Public Health Champion <br />Discussion on whether therapist will be available to other county staff. Ms. Loeffers noted that she is on a 6 -month <br />contract, and KCPHD staff will do a trial run on how that works, with the possibility of opening it up to other county <br />staff in the future. <br />Health Officer Update <br />Dr. Mark Larson presented on the following. <br />
