BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br />NO. 2023-_______ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO ALLOW THE KITTITAS VALLEY EVENT CENTER TO CHARGE <br />TICKETING FEES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Kittitas Valley Event Center (KVEC) hosts self-promoted events throughout the year; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a ticketing system is utilized to sell admission tickets to the public to attend those events; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, customers can purchase tickets online or in a designated box office location; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, each ticket purchase incurs a ticketing fee by ticketing system company based on a <br />contract fee schedule for the service they provide; and <br /> <br />WHERAS, ticketing fees being charged to the ticket purchaser is an event and entertainment industry <br />standard; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners has the authority to establish or <br />affirm such fee policy by resolution; and <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas <br />County, Washington, hereby adopts the Event Center Director to set up ticketing fees to be incurred by <br />the ticket purchaser effective on April 19, 2023. <br /> <br /> <br />DATED this __________ day of ____________________, 2023, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />_____________________________ <br />☐ Clerk of the Board __________________________________________ <br />☐ Deputy Clerk of the Board Chair <br /> <br /> __________________________________________ <br /> Vice-Chair <br /> <br /> __________________________________________ <br /> Commissioner <br />
