RESCIND THE SELECTION OF EAST SLOPES EARTHWORIG F'OR THE
MANUFACTURED HOME, BARI\, ARENA, AND GARAGE DEMOLITION AIID SALVAGE
PROJECT
WHEREAS: Public Works prepared a request for proposals for manufactured home, barn, arena, and
garuge demolition and salvage services in January 2023 consistent with Chapter RCW
39.26.120; and
WHEREAS: Nine (9) qualified proposals were received; and
WHEREAS: On February 2l't,2023, atthe recommendation of an internal Public Works review team,
the Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas County selected East Slopes Earthworks
for the manufactured home, barn, arena, and garage demolition and salvage project; and
WHEREAS: Kittitas County reviewed the procurement process in response to a protest made by a
respondent to the project solicitation; and
WHEREAS: Kittitas County determined that that building demolition is subject to Chapter 39.04 RCW
and not RCW 39.26 and that services should be resolicited utilizing the correct
procurement process.
NOW THEREFORE' BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas County,
Washington, in the best interest of the public, does hereby rescind the selection of East
Slopes Earthworks for the Manufactured Home, Barn, Arena, and Garage Demolition and
Salvage Project.
