RESOLUTION RESCINDING THE AUTHORIZATION TO EXECUTE T-
HANGER LEASES AND TERMINATION OF MONTH-TO.MONTH
TENANCIES
WHEREAS: On February 15,2022, the Kittitas County Board of County
Comrnissioners authorized terminating month-to-month T-Hanger leases
and authorized annual leases to replace thern via Resolution 2022-041'
and
WHEREAS: Resolution2022-043 was based upon the premise that annual leases would
aid the Airport in the administration of leases and maxirnize the benefit to
the taxpayers of Kittitas County; and
WHBREAS: It has since been determined that month-to-month leases are the airport
industry standard; and
WHERLAS: Month-to-month leases aid in the administration of leases at the Bowers
Field Airport and provides the maximum benefit to the taxpayers of
Kittitas County.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:
The Board of County Commissioners authorize current annual T-Hangar Ieases to be
renewed by the Airport Director or other delegee, on a month-to-month basis, as the
annual leases expire.

Authorization to Execute T-Hanger Leases and Terminafins Month-to-Month
Tt:nancies
WHEREAS, Kittitas County owns and rents out property at its Bowers Field Airport;
and
WHEREAS, having such leases maximizes the benefit to the county taxpayers; and
WHBREAS, 'f-l langer leases have been on a month-to-month hasis ancl the County
clesires tlrat these becotne atrnual leases under the terms of the attached
leases; and
WI{EREAS, various tenants desire to rent such property r,rnder the terms of the
respective attached leasc, ancl alter notice and hearing, the BOCC finds
that execution of such leases is in the public's best interest; and
WHEIIBAS, tenancies where the tenant has been unwilling to enter into annual leases
such as those above mentioned have been I'ound by the BOCC, after notice
and hearing, to not bc in the public interest.
NOW, THERBFORE BE TT RESOLVED:
I'he LIoard of County Commissioners authorizes the execution of the attached T -Hanger
leases fbr property at the tsowers Field Airport.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVBD:
Month-to-month 'l--Hanger leases are herehy ternrinated, and the airport clirector is hereby
directed to give 30-days' notice of such to any'l'-Hangcr tenants who have not executecl
onc-year leases. The Prosecuting Attorney's Office is hercby authorized to commence
eviction proceedings against those tenants who have not been willing to execute one-year
leases for T-Flangers and remain in possession 30 days after receiving said notice.
