ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution adopting the Kittitas County
Economic Development Strategic Plan
BACKGROUND: In 2021, Kittitas County and the City of Ellensburg approved an
interlocal agreement to contract with TIP Strategies for the purposes
of developing an updated countywide economic development
strategic plan. TIP Strategies has now published this updated plan
after over a year of work conducting interviews with citizens,
businesses, and meeting with the project’s steering team. The
Conference of Governments was also consulted throughout this
process as members of the project steering team. The City of
Ellensburg has approved Resolution 2023-07 adopting the Kittitas
County Economic Development Strategic Plan.
INTERACTION: The Prosecuting Attorney’s office has reviewed and signed the
proposed Resolution. The Chief Deputy Prosecutor did not suggest
any revisions to the document.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve a Resolution adopting the Kittitas County Economic
Development Strategic Plan
