KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: April 18, 2023 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Approve an updated Personal Services Agreement with Bill Clarke <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Bill Clarke has served as the county’s state legislative affairs <br />lobbyist for over six years as well as a previous Special <br />Deputy Prosecutor advising on water and land use issues. <br />Recognizing his specialized expertise on current issues <br />pertaining to the county, an updated PSA has been drafted to <br />bring him on to help train civil legal staff as well as provide <br />legal advice on potential large-scale real estate transactions. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: Both Bill Clarke and the Prosecuting Attorney’s office have reviewed <br />and approved the updated PSA <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the updated PSA <br /> <br />HANDLING: Original – Clerk of the Board <br /> Copy – Prosecutor <br /> Copy – Bill Clarke <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Updated PSA <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Cory Wright, Commissioner <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
