KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF’S OFFICE <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: April 4, 2023 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Acknowledge the awarded grant between Kittitas <br />County and the Office of Justice Programs, as well as the accompanying MOU between <br />KCSO and Comprehensive Healthcare to collaborate on this program. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The Kittitas County Jail has been awarded a grant of $483,552 from <br />the Office of Justice Programs to enhance mental health services provided to those <br />incarcerated there. Coupled with the grant, is a MOU between KCSO and <br />Comprehensive Healthcare to collaborate on this program. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The awarded grant and accompanying MOU has been reviewed and <br />approved by the Kittitas County Prosecutor’s Office. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Acknowledge the awarded grant between Kittitas County and <br />the Office of Justice Programs, as well as the accompanying MOU between KCSO and <br />Comprehensive Healthcare to collaborate on this program. <br /> <br />HANDLING: No Handling <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Lieutenant Buntin
