ACTION REQUESTED:
Request to Approve a Resolution authorizing Amendment B
additional funding of $45,360.00 and amendment start date
of Contract #21-4610C-109 between Kittitas County and the
Washington State Department of Commerce – Shelter
Program Grant
BACKGROUND:
Washington State Department of Commerce Community
Services and Housing Division Housing Assistance Unit:
Shelter Grant Program.
The Shelter Program Grant funds equitable and creative
approaches to develop or expand shelter programs and bring
unsheltered people inside with the goal of exiting
participants to permanent and positive outcomes quickly.
BOCC Resolution 2020-166 dated October 20, 2020
authorized an interagency agreement regarding Washington
State Department of Commerce Contract 21 -4610C-109 for
$246,846 with a start date of August 1, 2020 and end date of
June 30, 2023.
BOCC Resolution 2021-206 dated December 21, 2021
authorized Amendment A of Washington State Department
of Commerce Contract 21-4610C-109 amending the scope
of work to include additional bed inventory under the
program guidelines. The amendment start date was
December 15, 2021 and the amendment end date was June
30, 2023.
On March 20, 2023, Washington State Department of
Commerce provided Kittitas County with Amendment
Number B adding additional funding of $45,360.00 to the
original contract amount. The new contract amount will be
$292,206.00 with an amended start date of March 1, 2023
and an end date of June 30, 2023.
Hopesource is the sub-recipient for this grant and will
receive the additional $45 ,360.00 funding to use in
accordance with the program requirements.
The purpose for this amendment is to amend the funding
amount and the amendment start date. All other terms and
conditions of this contract remain in full force and effect.
RECOMMENDATION:
Request to Approve a Resolution authorizing Amendment B

of Contract #21-4610C-109 between Kittitas County and the
Washington State Department of Commerce – Shelter
Program Grant

WA State Dept of Commerce.
Department of Commerce to return 1 fully executed original.
