STATE OF WASHINGTON
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AMENDMENT B TO INTERAGENCY AGREEMENT WITH
WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE FOR COMMUNITY SERVICES & HOUSING DIVISION,
HOUSING ASSISTANCE UNIT
SHELTER PROGAM
RESOLUTION NO. 2023-_____
Whereas, Chapters 39.33 and 39.34 RCW, the Interlocal Cooperation Act, authorizes public agencies
to enter into agreements for mutually advantageous joint or cooperative action; and
Whereas, Kittitas County and Washington State Department of Commerce are public agencies within
the meaning of chapters 39.33 and 39.34 RCW; and
Whereas, Kittitas County and Washington State Department of Commerce entered into the agreement
to fund the Costs incurred for the public services through HopeSource to low- and moderate-
income persons in Kittitas County for the period of August 1, 2020 thru June 30, 2023;
Contract #21-4610C-109 on Resolution 2020-166; and
Whereas, The original contract was amended with Contract #21-4610C-109 Amendment A on
Resolution 2021-206 dated December 21,2021 for additional bed inventory; and
Whereas, Washington State Department of Commerce has provided Kittitas County with Contract #21-
4610C-109 Amendment B to add additional funding of $45,360.00 to the contract with an
amendment start date of March 1, 2023 and end date of June 30, 2023
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners authorizes the
execution of the Interagency Agreement Amendment B with Washington State Department of Commerce,
attached hereto, and incorporated herein by this reference .
