ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to Award the Bid
for Herbicide Application for the Years 2023-2026
and Authorize the Public Works Director to Execute
Said Agreement
BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Public Works solicited (MRSC
Roster) to bid for the Application of Herbicide on
approximately one thousand (1,000) shoulder miles
of roadway in accordance with specifications.
INTERACTION:
Bids were opened on March 8, 2023, at 2:00 p.m.
One (1) bid was received.
Public Works is recommending awarding the
responsive bid to Woodland Resource Services, Inc.
at twenty-eight dollars and fifty cents ($28.50) per
mile applied. Public Works will be supplying the
herbicide for application. The work is budgeted in
the 2023 Road Fund Maintenance budget.
Public Works.
RECOMMENDATION: Move to approve the Resolution to Award the bid
for Herbicide Application for the Years 2023-2026
and Authorize the Public Works Director to Execute
Same.
HANDLING: Return one (1) original to Public Works.

TO AWARD THE BID FOR
APPLICATION FOR THE YEARS 2023-2026
AND AUTHORIZE THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE SAME
WHEREAS: A Small Works Solicitation was sent to Vegetation Management Contractors
for Herbicide Application for the Years 2023-2026 on February 27, 2023; and
WHEREAS: Sealed bids were opened publicly on March 8, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Kittitas
County Public Works; and
WHEREAS: One (1) bid was received for the prescribed work. The Director of Public
Works recommends the responsive bid from Woodland Resource Services
Inc. be accepted; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the
best interest of the public, does hereby award the bid for Herbicide
Application for the Years 2023 — 2026 to Woodland Resource Services, Inc.
for the application of herbicide to approximately one thousand (1,000)
shoulder miles of roadway.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director for the Department of Public Works is
authorized to sign the contract documents upon such terms and conditions
specified in the Proposal submitted by said bidder(s).
