COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON

REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY 9:00 A.M. MARCH 13, 2023
Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright; Vice-Chairman Brett
Wachsmith and Commissioner Laura Osiadacz.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Office Administrator; Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk
of the Board; Emily Smith, Admin. Assistant.
REGULAR MEETING OFFICE STAFF MEETING COMMISSIONERS
At 9:00 a.m. Chairman Wright opened the Office Administration
meeting.
CALENDAR WEEK AT A GLANCE COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed their weekly calendar.
PAF/VOUCHERS REVIEW OF PAF’S & VOUCHERS COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners approved and signed County
Employee Personnel Action forms and vouchers.
CORRESPONDENCE LOG REVIEW OF CORRESPONDENCE LOG COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed the weekly Correspondence
Log, a listing of all incoming mail and correspondence for the week
ending March 10, 2023.
APPOINTMENT DEHAVEN – LAW & JUSTICE COUNCIL COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner Wachsmith moved to approve the appointment of Mr.
William DeHaven as the member at large vacancy on the County’s Law &
Justice Council for a two year term effective immediately and ending
12/31/2024. Commissioner Osiadacz seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
APPOINTMENT M. KARRAKER HOMELESSNESS/AFFORD.HOUSING COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner Wachsmith moved to approve the appointment of Mr.
Michael Karraker to the Kittitas County Homelessness & Affordable
Housing Committee for a two year term effective immediately with a
term ending 12/31/204. Commissioner Osiadacz seconded. Motion
carried 3-0.
APPOINTMENT A.HOCHLEUTNER HOMELESSNESS/AFFORD.HOUSING COMMISSIONERS

Commissioner Wachsmith moved to approve the appointment of Ms.
Andrea “Andi” Hochleutner to the Kittitas County Homelessness &
Affordable Housing Committee for a two-year term effective
immediately with a term ending 12/31/2024. Commissioner Osiadacz
seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
REQUEST ADO-DESIGNATION-CHAMBER COMMISSIONERS
Chairman Wright requested that the item be pulled until April 10,
2023.
DISCUSSION COUNTY FACEBOOK COMMISSIONERS
The Board determined that for the week of March 13, 2023, they would
post the following on their Facebook page: Press Release for the
Vantage HWY Road Closure; Open House for Sleep Center and
recruitment for Public Lands Advisory Committee.
UPDATE BOCC/ DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS
Each Commissioner was assigned three different Department Heads to
meet with on a weekly basis for the year. The assignments for 2023
were determined at the Board of County Commissioners Office Admin
meeting earlier on and they will continue to provide updates at
future meetings.
Each Commissioner reviewed discussions held with their respective
departments and exchanged details of those meetings.
OTHER BUSINESS/GENERAL UPDATES
There were general updates on meetings & conversations that the
Board participated in, individually over the past week.
