A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AIRPORT DIRECTOR EXECUTION OF LEASE
AGREEEMENTS
WHEREAS: Kittitas County Code (KCC) 2.81.060(4) requires that all leases of real property be
approved by the Board of County Commissioners (Board) unless they delegate such authority,
via resolution, to a designee; and
WHEREAS: the Kittitas County Airport Director (KCAD) has the capacity and knowledge
necessary to evaluate and execute all 1-year T Hangar lease agreements at the Airport; and
WHEREAS: the KCAD also has the capacity and knowledge necessary to execute lease
amendments that escalate a tenants rent every 5-years per the terms of the original lease
agreements, which have been previously approved by the Board of County Commissioners; and
WHEREAS: the Board finds that it is in the best interest of the County to delegate authority to
the Kittitas County Airport Director as provided in KCC 2.81.060(4).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners,
hereby authorizes the Kittitas County Airport Director to execute all 1-year T Hangar lease
agreements at the Airport as well as to execute lease amendments that escalate a tenants rent
every 5-years per the terms of the original lease agreements, which have been previously
approved by the Board of County Commissioners.
