AGENDA STAFF REPORT
AGENDA DATE: March 7, 2023
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Set a Public Hearing for April 4, 2023, at 2pm to
consider a franchise for a wildlife fence with the Washington State
Department of Fish and Wildlife in the vicinity of Stevens Road,
Ellensburg.
BACKGROUND: The Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife is working
with the Kittitas Reclamation District to install wildlife fencing
along the canal right of way impacting the road right of way of
Stevens Road. To create safe conditions along I-90 and impacts to
private agricultural lands a request to place wildlife fencing inside
county road right way has been submitted.
The Franchise Application is complete and the appropriate
application fee has been collected.
INTERACTION: Public Works
RECOMMENDATION: Set a public hearing on April 4, 2023, at 2:00 pm and advertise
accordingly, to consider a franchise for a wildlife fence with the
Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife in the vicinity
of Stevens Road, Ellensburg.

Department of Fish and Wildlife for a wildlife fence in the vicinity of Stevens Road, Ellensburg.
