COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON

REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY 9:00 A.M. FEBUARY 27, 2023
Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright; Vice-Chairman Brett
Wachsmith and Commissioner Laura Osiadacz.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Office Administrator; Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk
of the Board; Emily Smith, Admin. Assistant; Debbie Stanavich,
Admin. Assistant and one member of the public.
REGULAR MEETING OFFICE STAFF MEETING COMMISSIONERS
At 9:00 a.m. Chairman Wright opened the Office Administration
meeting.
CALENDAR WEEK AT A GLANCE COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed their weekly calendar.
PAF/VOUCHERS REVIEW OF PAF’S & VOUCHERS COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners approved and signed County
Employee Personnel Action forms (note there were no PAF’s this week)
and vouchers.
CORRESPONDENCE LOG REVIEW OF CORRESPONDENCE LOG COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed the weekly Correspondence
Log, a listing of all incoming mail and correspondence for the week
ending February 24, 2023.
DISCUSSION CHERYL BROWN – STROKE ABOVE DESIGN COMMISSIONERS
Cheryl Brown shared with the Board the services she offers for
Social Media Management. She discussed her proposal with the Board
and stated that they should have between 3 and 5 posts a week in
order to remain relevant and gain engagement. The Board discussed
how they would like work passed through to her via Julie or Mandy.
They stated they felt they had good discretion to avoid un-popular
posts. Chairman Wright was directed to work on a PSA in development
with the County Prosecutor and IT Department.
APPROVAL LETTER OF SUPPORT-CLE ELUM SKATEPARK COMMISSIONERS

Commissioner Wachsmith moved to approve Board signature on a letter
of support for the Cle Elum Skatepark as presented. Commissioner
Osiadacz seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
RATIFY LETTER TO STATE PARKS COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner Wachsmith moved to ratify Board signature on a letter
to State Parks John Erstner regarding Recreation Trail. Commissioner
Osiadacz seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
DISCUSSION COUNTY FACEBOOK COMMISSIONERS
The Board determined that for the week of February 27, 2023, they
would post the following on their Facebook page: Skatepark Letter of
Support and State of the Community Event hosted by the Chamber.
UPDATE BOCC/ DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS
Each Commissioner was assigned three different Department Heads to
meet with on a weekly basis for the year. The assignments for 2023
were determined at the Board of County Commissioners Office Admin
meeting earlier on and they will continue to provide updates at
future meetings.
Each Commissioner reviewed discussions held with their respective
departments and exchanged details of those meetings.
OTHER BUSINESS/GENERAL UPDATES
There were general updates on meetings & conversations that the
Board participated in, individually over the past week.
