STATE OF WASHINGTON
RESOLUTION NO. 2023-
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE WRITE-OFF OF UNCOLLECTIBLE DEBTS TOTALING
$90.00 PAYABLE TO THE KITTITAS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
WHEREAS, Kittitas County Resolution Number 2004-02 establishes the civil fee
schedule for the Kittitas County Sheriff's Office for the time period in question; and
WHEREAS, the Kittitas County Sheriff and his Fiscal Analyst have reviewed the
2016 civil accounts receivable and have determined that the Sheriff's Office has civil
accounts receivable totaling $90.00 which are uncollectible; and
WHEREAS, RCW 4.16.040(2) provides a six (6) year statute of limitations for
actions which are based upon accounts receivable resulting from the ordinary course of
business; and
WHEREAS, the write-off of uncollectible accounts is fiscally responsible and
necessary to provide an accurate measure of Kittitas County's financial position; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, by the
Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas County, Washington, that the Kittitas County
Sheriffs Office civil accounts receivables attached hereto for the year 2016, are
determined to be uncollectible and are written off from the accounts of Kittitas County.
