AGENDA DATE: February 21, 2023
ACTION REQUESTED: Deny Claim of Gene Camarata.
BACKGROUND: Gene Camarata (“Mr. Camarata”) filed a claim asking for
approximately $500,000 in damages, which he alleges were caused by
a Clerk’s Office employee emailing a publicly available court
document. Kittitas County Claim for Damages #202301190022.
INTERACTION: Mr. Camarata’s claim is frivolous, and does not allege any valid legal
claims. Furthermore, the alleged email referenced in Mr. Camarata’s
claim was purportedly sent on March 16, 2016, so even if true, the
statute of limitations for any claim has long passed.
RECOMMENDATION: Deny Kittitas County Claim for Damages #202301190022.
