COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
CONFERENCE ROOM
SPECIAL MEETING
TEUSDAY 9:00 A.M. JANUARY 25, 2023
Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright, Vice-Chairman Brett
Wachsmith & Commissioner Laura Osiadacz (arrived at 9:10 A.M.).
Others: Emily Smith, Administrative Assistant; Amy McGuffin,
Kittitas Chamber of Commerce CEO; Margret Reich CenterFuse Executive
Director; and 1 member of the public.
SPECIAL MEETING CHAMBER AND CENTERFUSE COMMISSIONERS
At 9:01 a.m. Chairman Wright opened a Special Meeting to meet with
the Chamber of Commerce and CenterFuse to discuss their scope of
services provided through Conference of Governments contract.
Amy McGuffin, Chamber CEO spoke to the current scope of work the
Chamber is performing as the County’s ADO. Currently the Chamber has
outreach and economic staff. The additional funds requested this
year would go towards funding an additional 3-4 staff positions. Ms.
McGuffin went over the Chamber’s strengths and skills.
Margret Reich, Executive Director of CenterFuse, spoke to how
CenterFuse is structured, how it started, and their expansion goals.
CenterFuse is a business development organization that is mostly
grant funded. She spoke to the skills and strengths of CenterFuse.
Ms. McGuffin and Ms. Reich both spoke to the collaboration that the
two organizations have been able to achieve this year.
The Board thanked Ms. McGuffin and Ms. Reich for attending.
