RESOLUTION NO. 2023 -_____
SELECTING THE WATERSHED COMPANY AS COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
SERVICES ON-CALL TASK ORDER CONSULTANTS FOR A TWO-YEAR PERIOD OF
SERVICE AND AUTHORIZING THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SERVICES
DIRECTOR TO SIGN CONTRACT
WHEREAS: Community Development Services (CDS) prepared a solicitation for environmental
planning, long range planning, current planning, and Washington State Growth
Management Act compliance services consistent with state law and county code in
October 2022; and
WHEREAS: CDS docketed a request to solicit for said professional services on the Board of
County Commission general business agenda for November 1, 2022; and
WHEREAS: The Board of County Commissioners did direct CDS to proceed with solicitation
efforts and said process concluded with submittals being received on December 2,
2022; and
WHEREAS: Consistent with solicitation advertising an internal review team from CDS reviewed
and scored all submittals; and
WHEREAS: The consensus of the reviewers selects The Watershed Company for environmental
planning, long range planning, current planning, and Washington State Growth
Management Act compliance services contracts for a two-year period;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best
interest of the public, does hereby select the Watershed Company for a standard professional services
contract (acceptable to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office);
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the Community Development Services Director is directed to sign
said contract on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners.
