COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON

REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY 9:00 A.M. JANUARY 23, 2023
Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright; Vice-Chairman Brett
Wachsmith and Commissioner Laura Osiadacz (Webex).
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Office Administrator; Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk
of the Board; Emily Smith, Admin. Assistant; Debbie Stanavich,
Admin. Assistant and Jeanne Killgore, HR Director.
REGULAR MEETING OFFICE STAFF MEETING COMMISSIONERS
At 9:00 a.m. Chairman Wright opened the Office Administration
meeting.
CALENDAR WEEK AT A GLANCE COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed their weekly calendar.
PAF/VOUCHERS REVIEW OF PAF’S & VOUCHERS COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners approved and signed County
Employee Personnel Action forms and vouchers.
CORRESPONDENCE LOG REVIEW OF CORRESPONDENCE LOG COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed the weekly Correspondence
Log, a listing of all incoming mail and correspondence for the week
ending January 20, 2023.
APPOINTMENT NOX. WEED HANSON/ESLINGER COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner Wachsmith moved to approve & reappoint Jim Hanson &
Matt Eslinger to the Kittitas County Noxious Weed Control Board for
a term effective 3/1/2023 and ending on 2/28/2027. Commissioner
Osiadacz seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
APPOINTMENT 1/10TH OF 1% COMMITTEE COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner Wachsmith moved to approve and appoint Dr. Catherine
Crowley to the County’s 1/10th of 1% Mental Health & Chemical
Dependency Tax Advisory Board in the position of a member with
Unique Experience – Substance Use Disorders, effective immediately.
Commissioner Osiadacz seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
DISCUSSION COUNTY FACEBOOK COMMISSIONERS

The Board determined that for the week of January 23, 2023, they
would post the following on their Facebook page: The Board’s plans
for the Bowling Alley and their ability to sell it at the end; City
of Kittitas Water Tower story; and the joint meeting announcement
for Cle Elum and the County to be held on 1/30/2023.
UPDATE BOCC/ DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS
Each Commissioner was assigned three different Department Heads to
meet with on a weekly basis for the year. The assignments for 2023
were determined at the Board of County Commissioners Office Admin
meeting earlier on and they will continue to provide updates at
future meetings.
Each Commissioner reviewed discussions held with their respective
departments and exchanged details of those meetings.
OTHER BUSINESS/GENERAL UPDATES
There were general updates on meetings & conversations that the
Board participated in, individually over the past week.
Chairman Wright shared a Draft Press Release; Commissioner Osiadacz
gave an update on her LSC Meeting in Olympia; Commissioner Wachsmith
gave an update on the Crisis Stabilization meeting he attended.
Meeting adjourned at 9:57 a.m.
