TEUSDAY 1:00 P.M JANUARY 10, 2023
Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright, Vice-Chairman Brett
Wachsmith & Commissioner Laura Osiadacz.
Others: Emily Smith, Administrative Assistant; Bill Clarke, County
Lobbyist; Doug Fessler, IT Director.
SPECIAL MEETING BILL CLARKE/LEGISLATIVE UPDATE COMMISSIONERS
At 1:04 p.m. Chairman Wright opened a Special Meeting to meet with
Bill Clarke and receive legislative updates.
Bill Clarke reviewed the 2023 legislative priorities and policy
issues for 2023. The Board and Mr. Clarke discussed WUI local
mapping pilot project WABO/DNR, Regional Conference of Governments,
I-90, Cle Elum Search & Rescue/Emergency Operations, Ellensburg
Rodeo Grounds & Grandstands, and Lodging Tax/recreational impacts.
APPOINTMENT LODGING TAX COMMISSIONERS
Vice-Chairman Wachsmith moved to appoint Jessica Karraker to the
Lodging Tax Advisory Committee. Commissioner Osiadacz seconded. The
motion carried 3-0.
Meeting adjourned at 1:56 p.m.
