COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON

SPECIAL MEETING
TUESDAY 9:00 A.M. JANUARY 17, 2023
Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright; Vice-Chairman Brett
Wachsmith and Commissioner Laura Osiadacz.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Office Administrator; Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk
of the Board; Emily Smith, Admin. Assistant; Debbie Stanavich,
Admin. Assistant.
REGULAR MEETING OFFICE STAFF MEETING COMMISSIONERS
At 9:00 a.m. Chairman Osiadacz opened the Office Administration
meeting.
CALENDAR WEEK AT A GLANCE COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed their weekly calendar.
PAF/VOUCHERS REVIEW OF PAF’S & VOUCHERS COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners approved and signed County
Employee Personnel Action forms and vouchers.
CORRESPONDENCE LOG REVIEW OF CORRESPONDENCE LOG COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed the weekly Correspondence
Log, a listing of all incoming mail and correspondence for the week
ending January 13, 2023.
CONSIDER COG APPLICATION FOR CO. REP COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner Wachsmith moved to approve and appoint County Auditor
Bryan Elliott to the Kittitas County COG serving as the County
Representative position. Commissioner Osiadacz seconded. Motion
carried 3-0.
DISCUSS SOCIAL MEDIA CONSULTANT COMMISSIONERS
Chairman Wright questioned if the Board had a chance to consider the
proposal from Cheryl Brown to be selected as the County Social Media
Consultant. The Board directed the Chairman to work with Ms. Brown
and the Prosecutor’s Office to bring forward an Agreement for the
Board to consider.

The Board determined that for the week of January 16, 2023, they
would post the following on their Facebook page: Bowling Alley
Article in the Daily Record and Event Center Kady Porterfield being
selected as a top 10 finalist in the AFBFYFR Excellence in
Agriculture.
UPDATE BOCC/ DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS
Each Commissioner was assigned three different Department Heads to
meet with on a weekly basis for the year. The assignments for 2023
were determined at the Board of County Commissioners Office Admin
meeting earlier on and they will continue to provide updates at
future meetings.
Each Commissioner reviewed discussions held with their respective
departments and exchanged details of those meetings.
OTHER BUSINESS/GENERAL UPDATES
There were general updates on meetings & conversations that the
Board participated in, individually over the past week.
Meeting adjourned at 9:40 a.m.
