Just days after the event ban lifted in Washington State, we were fortunate enough to have a full-fledged concert full of great rrusic. good times. and laughter. people were so excited to be together again watching a live performance. Despite not having much iime to plan and advertise once we knew we could continue with the event. it still came together great with the amazing performances and a great crowd. After a stunn jng National Anthem, we had opening act Huckieberry Road kick off the corrcert and get people going before Joe Nichols took the stage. Joe had the crowd rocking through the night and tlre arena floor was full of people dancrng and singing along. ln precautionary efforts. we made some layout changes this year and attempted new seating arrangements to be prepared for restricted attendances. While they were great plans to get through a restricted event and it worked relatively well, there were a couple downfalls when it came to traffic flow and interactlon. So, we will be leaving the main layout as isfor 2022 but changing the arena floor arrangement to generate a better experience for concert goers. It was also a bunrrner to have our fireworks show cancelled this year. bul we work with an amazing company that was able to hold our show over for 2022 luckily. We vritll be excited io jump back into our safety planning and special airangements with iocal fire personnel to make sure it goes off without a hitch. lt's the safest way for the whole community to enjoy a grand-scaie fireworks show in one location without them risking lighting off their own fireworks at home. We will also use targeted Facebook ads in those areas to promote online awareness and get direclclick traffic to our website for tickets. "Bandsintown" ernail newsletters will also be an effective tool in the same manner. Targeting will be fixed to country music fans, patriots. and families looking for holiday fun. We are expanding our digital targeting to regions outside the Washington border, along Oregon and into ldaho as well. We really hope to see a growih in our western Washington attendees next year as well. so we will be marketing in both the Northwest and Southwest corners of Washington next year. The pandemic and not knowing what restrictions would be made marketing very difficult and rushed h 2A21 . With more time throughout the year to market the eveni, there will be more awareness and we will be able to get ahead on people's holiday planning. 2500 character iilril 4l Collaboration lf your organization collaborates or has created partnerships with other organizations, groups, or other events, how is this accomplished? 4.'1 Collaboration*Currently, we have valuable partnerslrips with both community groups, as well as regional and corporate sponsors. Our ma.1or sponsors we look to have back for the 2O22 event include Mtke's Hard Lemonade and Legends Casino Hotel. We've also found success in local trade partnerships with KXDD radio and the Hampton lnn of Ellensburg to help support our evenl operations and marketing. Our conrmunity partners are valuable as a volunteer effort to help run our event and set specral displays. These groups include the Ellensburg Rodeo posse, Rodeo City Roller Girls, National Guard. and Antique Military Vehicles Club. We are also thankful to all our first responder volunteer help that ensures we all have a safe and fun time. This includes Kittitas Valley Fire and Rescue as well as the Kittitas Couniy Sheriffs Department Reserve Proqram. We are looking at expanding our partnerships for this upcoming year and the biggest one we are looking forward to is with the City of Ellensburg. The City's park and Recreation Department has shown interest and commitment io setting up additronal 4th of July festivities in Memorial Park next to the fairgrounds. These family fun activjties and entertainment would begin in the afternoon and lead up to the opening of the concert area and evening schedule. It all came together for 2O21 as planned, even given the short time frame for when we received word we could move forward. Even with an entire new layout and concept, it all flowed together while giving staff even more ideas on how to make it beiter next year.
