ACTION REQUESTED:
Request to approve renewal Professional Services Agreement with A Better Track to
perform the State recognized evidenced based program Education and Employment
Training (EET)
BACKGROUND:
Through the Juvenile Court Block Grant, the Department of Children, Youth and
Families provides funding to County Juvenile Courts throughout the State of Washington
to support programs for juvenile offenders, to include but not limited to, evidenced based
programs approved through the Community Juvenile Accountability Act.
Education and Employment Training is an identified evidenced based program that is
eligible for funding reimbursement through the Juvenile Court Block Grant. Our office
has identified A Better Track to administer the program to our youth. This is a contract
renewal.
There is no impact to the County General Fund.
INTERACTION:
The Prosecutor’s Office has reviewed, approved as to form, and signed the agreement.
Presiding Judge of Kittitas County Superior Court reviewed and signed agreement.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve Professional Services Agreement with A Better Track to perform EET to
Kittitas County Juvenile Court Services eligible youth.
HANDLING:
Request original be filed with BoCC and 1 copy returned to Kari Elkins.
ATTACHMENTS:
Attached are one original and one copy of the professional services agreement.
