DECEMBER 5, 2022 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Vice-Chairman Cory <br />Wright; and Commissioner Brett Wachsmith. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Josh Fredrickson, <br />Engineer; Mike Hougardy, Assessor; Lisa Lawrence, Assistant <br />Director; Jeanne Killgore, Human Resource Director; Kady <br />Porterfield, Event Center Director; Dan Carlson, CDS Director; Jerry <br />Pettit, Auditor; Stephanie George, Administrative Supervisor; Ben <br />Kokjer, Chief Deputy; Chris Whitsett, Inspector; Amy Cziske, <br />Treasurer; David Ohl, Airport Director; Cori McKean, Office <br />Administrator; Barb Demory, Lower District Court Administrator; <br />Sharrie McPherson, Fiscal Analyst; Katrina Mankus, Juvenile Court <br />Administrator; Doug Fessler, IT Director; Elishia Harvill, Chief <br />Administrator; Darren Higashiyama, Chief Deputy; and Brian Carlson, <br />Budget & Finance Director. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING BUDGET 2023 AUDITOR <br /> <br />At 1:30 p.m. CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ opened a Public Hearing to consider <br />adopting the 2023 County budget. <br /> <br />BRIAN CARLSON, BUDGET & FINANCE DIRECTOR, reviewed a Staff Report <br />including the processes for the 2023 budget adoption and revisions; <br />draft budget; fund balances; General Fund budget detail; final <br />revisions; and post adoption considerations. He provided options to <br />assist with incorporating reductions in expenses by dollars <br />generically, specific programming or both, and recommended limiting <br />it to the General Fund. There was a review of the ongoing quarterly <br />tasks and timelines as well as what to expect for the 2023 retreat. <br />The Board asked questions and for clarification from Director <br />Carlson. <br /> <br />THERE BEING NO ONE REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC COMMENT WAS <br />CLOSED. <br /> <br />VICE-CHAIRMAN WRIGHT moved to continue the Public Hearing to <br />Thursday December 9, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. in the Commissioners <br />Auditorium, and to leave the record open. COMMISSIONER WACHSMITH <br />seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />The meeting was concluded at 2:31 p.m. <br /> <br />
