DECEMBER 1, 2022 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Vice-Chairman Cory <br />Wright; and Commissioner Brett Wachsmith. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Mike Hougardy, Assessor; <br />Mark Cook, Public Works Director; Brian Carlson, Budget & Finance <br />Director; Jerry Pettit, Auditor; Amy Cziske, Treasurer; Kylee <br />Wuesthoff, Finance Officer. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING TAX LEVY RATES AUDITOR <br /> <br />At 2:00 p.m. CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ opened a Public Hearing to consider <br />possible tax increases for the Tax Levy rates and amount for taxes <br />levied in 2022 to be collected in 2023 for the General Fund, County <br />Road Fund, and Flood Control District. <br /> <br />BRIAN CARLSON, BUDGET & FINANCE DIRECTOR, reviewed a Staff Report <br />and six proposed Resolutions for Board consideration. He provided a <br />power-point presentation regarding tax rates vs tax bills. <br /> <br />THERE BEING NO ONE IN ATTENDANCE REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC <br />PORTION OF THE HEARING WAS CLOSED. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2022-214 LEVYING TAXES GENERAL FUND AUDITOR <br /> <br />VICE-CHAIRMAN WRIGHT moved to approve Resolution No. 2022-214, <br />Levying Taxes for the General Fund for Municipal Purposes of <br />Kittitas County, Washington for the Year 2023 According to the <br />Assessed Valuation as Determined in the Year 2022. COMMISSIONER <br />WACHSMITH seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2022-215 CERTIFY GENERAL FUND LEVY AUDITOR <br /> <br />VICE-CHAIRMAN WRIGHT moved to approve Resolution No. 2022-215, <br />Certifying the General Fund Levy for Municipal Purposes of Kittitas <br />County, Washington for the Year 2023 According to the Assessed <br />Valuation as Determined in the Year 2022. COMMISSIONER WACHSMITH <br />seconded.
