COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON

SPECIAL MEETING
THURSDAY 1:30 P.M. DECEMBER 1, 2022
Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Vice-Chairman Cory
Wright; and Commissioner Brett Wachsmith.
Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Mike Hougardy, Assessor;
Mark Cook, Public Works Director; Brian Carlson, Budget & Finance
Director; Jerry Pettit, Auditor; Amy Cziske, Treasurer; Kylee
Wuesthoff, Finance Officer.
PUBLIC HEARING TAX LEVY RATES AUDITOR
At 2:00 p.m. CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ opened a Public Hearing to consider
possible tax increases for the Tax Levy rates and amount for taxes
levied in 2022 to be collected in 2023 for the General Fund, County
Road Fund, and Flood Control District.
BRIAN CARLSON, BUDGET & FINANCE DIRECTOR, reviewed a Staff Report
and six proposed Resolutions for Board consideration. He provided a
power-point presentation regarding tax rates vs tax bills.
THERE BEING NO ONE IN ATTENDANCE REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC
PORTION OF THE HEARING WAS CLOSED.
RESOLUTION 2022-214 LEVYING TAXES GENERAL FUND AUDITOR
VICE-CHAIRMAN WRIGHT moved to approve Resolution No. 2022-214,
Levying Taxes for the General Fund for Municipal Purposes of
Kittitas County, Washington for the Year 2023 According to the
Assessed Valuation as Determined in the Year 2022. COMMISSIONER
WACHSMITH seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
RESOLUTION 2022-215 CERTIFY GENERAL FUND LEVY AUDITOR
VICE-CHAIRMAN WRIGHT moved to approve Resolution No. 2022-215,
Certifying the General Fund Levy for Municipal Purposes of Kittitas
County, Washington for the Year 2023 According to the Assessed
Valuation as Determined in the Year 2022. COMMISSIONER WACHSMITH
seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
RESOLUTION 2022-216 LEVYING TAXES COUNTY ROAD FUND AUDITOR
VICE-CHAIRMAN WRIGHT moved to approve Resolution No. 2022-216,
Levying Taxes for the County Road Fund for Municipal Purposes of
Kittitas County, Washington for the Year 2023 According to the

Assessed Valuation as Determined in the Year 2022. COMMISSIONER
WACHSMITH seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
RESOLUTION 2022-217 CERTIFY LEVY COUNTY ROAD FUND AUDITOR
VICE-CHAIRMAN WRIGHT moved to approve Resolution No. 2022-217,
Certifying the Levy for the County Road Fund for Municipal Purposes
of Kittitas County, Washington for the Year 2023 According to the
Assessed Valuation as Determined in the Year 2022. COMMISSIONER
WACHSMITH seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
RESOLUTION 2022-218 LEVYING TAXES FLOOD CONTROL ZONE DIST. AUDITOR
VICE-CHAIRMAN WRIGHT moved to approve Resolution No. 2022-218,
Levying Taxes for the County Flood Control Zone District for
Municipal Purposes of Kittitas County, Washington for the Year 2023
According to the Assessed Valuation as Determined in the Year 2022.
COMMISSIONER WACHSMITH seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
RESOLUTION 2022-219 CERTIFY TAXES FLOOD CONTROL ZONE DIST. AUDITOR
VICE-CHAIRMAN WRIGHT moved to approve Resolution No. 2022-219,
Certifying the Levy for the County Flood Control Zone District for
Municipal Purposes of Kittitas County, Washington for the Year 2023
According to the Assessed Valuation as Determined in the Year 2022.
COMMISSIONER WACHSMITH seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
