Ruby St., Suite 2, Ellensburg, WA 98926 <br />CDS@CO.KITTITAS.WA.US <br />Office (509) 962-7506 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: December 20, 2022 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Approve Ordinance Adopting the 2022 Annual Docket Amendments to <br />Kittitas County Code and Comprehensive Plan <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The County is amending Kittitas County Code and Comprehensive Plan <br />through the annual docketing procedure required by KCC 15B.03.030. <br /> <br />The Kittitas County Planning Commission held a public hearing on <br />November 8 and 9, 2022, to consider 22 proposed amendments to Kittitas <br />County Code and/or Comprehensive Plan. The Planning Commission <br />made recommendations to the Board of Commissioners on these proposed <br />amendments. <br /> <br />The Board of County Commissioners held an open public hearing on <br />November 29, 2022. At the public hearing and after deliberation of the <br />proposed items, the Board of County Commissioners approved, or <br />approved with amendment, or denied the proposed amendments. The <br />Commissioners at the hearing directed staff to prepare enabling documents <br />for the docket items. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: Community Development Services, Public Works, Solid Waste, <br />Prosecuting Attorney and Board of County Commissioners. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Ordinance adopting Kittitas County’s 2022 Annual Docket <br />items as approved by the Board of Commissioners during the public <br />hearing on November 29, 2022 and authorize the Board Chair to sign the <br />updated zoning map. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Ordinance with Exhibits A-T <br /> <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Dan Carlson, AICP, Community Development Services Director
