RESOLUTION NO.: 2022-____
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AMENDMENT TO AN
INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF ELLENSBURG RELATED TO
DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS WITHIN THE URBAN GROWTH AREA
WHEREAS: Kittitas County and the City of Ellensburg entered into an Interlocal
Agreement on December 20, 2021, related to development standards within
the Ellensburg Urban Growth Area; and
WHEREAS: that agreement provided a deadline of December 31, 2022, for the County to
meet certain requirements; and
WHEREAS: the County and City desire to extend that implementation deadline (related to
sections 5.1, 6.1, 10.2, and 13.1 of the agreement) until June 30, 2023; and
WHEREAS: the County and City drafted an amendment to the agreement, a copy of which
is attached to this resolution and incorporated herein by this reference, that
would accomplish that extension.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners
hereby authorizes the execution of the attached amendment to the interlocal agreement with
the City of Ellensburg related to development standards within the Ellensburg urban growth
area.
ADOPTED this day of 2022 at Ellensburg, Washington.
